We have developed a reaction platform for remote C–H functionalization at sp³ carbons, based on the concept of ketone-guided cation sampling. This method is distinguished by its highly precise, on-demand regioselectivity, allowing for targeted functionalization at either the δ- or γ-position, and its broad substrate compatibility.
