In the last weeks, Carlos Goncalves and Giovanni Di Mauro attended two international chemistry conferences and both managed to convince the committees about the value of their research and of their soft skills.
Carlos took part in the "2nd Meeting of the Group of Portuguese Chemists Abroad of the Portuguese Chemical Society" and was awarded the Best Flash Communication award (endowed with 150 euros) for his lecture "A Unified Approach to the Chemoselective alpha-Functionalization of Amides".
Giovanni attended the "International School on Organic Synthesis (ISOS 2021)" with his poster contribution "Oxidative Umpolung Using Iodine (III) enables the α – Cyclopropanation of Carbonyl Derivatives". Also endowed with 150 euros.
