JWOCS-23, a conference about the manifold organic chemistry of Sulfur, was held at the University of Vienna on 27th and 28th of February 2023. JWOCS-23 provided the approximately 100 participants with a gripping scientific program consisting of 15 invited lectures, 16 flash talks and 41 posters. The opening of JWOCS-23 was visited by Sebastian Schütze, Rector of the University of Vienna, and Junichiro Otaka, Vice-Ambassador of Japan in Vienna.
